As owner/operators of Finger Lakes Athletic Club, we take COVID very seriously, having to shut down leagues for a year, it is very important to us to follow the guidelines put in place by NYS in allowing us to reopen.

 

We intend on fully abiding by the guidelines as they stand and will adjust as needed based on any new potential guidelines put in place.

 

We have been running beach volleyball leagues every summer since 2014. Our leagues are very organized and our players are very respectful of the rules that we put in place.  It is the expectation of our league members to follow the guidelines that are put in place to keep everyone safe.  Failure to do so will result in disqualification from the league. 

 

Our leagues are run outdoors in the open air. This is a big benefit to us opening back up, as we are not confined to an enclosed space. 

 

We will maintain the website with information on our leagues and we will update it to include our rules for our leagues pertaining to COVID. We will also continue to maintain ongoing communication with our league members via social media and email means, to remind them of the expectation of the league. If players do not abide by the rules of the league/guidance on sports and recreation, they will not be allowed to participate.

Vaccinated individuals are not required to wear a mask. 

 

League equipment will be disinfected before, after and in between each set of games.

 

Masks and hand sanitizer will be available at the registration table.

 

Do not attend league if (1) you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms in the last 14 days, (2) test positive for COVID-19 in the past 14 days, and/or (3) have close contact with a confirmed or suspected COVID-19 case in the past 14 days.
